LOCATION - Lat 43°47'10.55", long 114°25'30.20" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Blaine County, ID, Hydrologic Unit 17040219, Amber Lakes quad., at North Fork campground, and at mile 105.3.
DRAINAGE AREA - 137 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY -

The maximum instantaneous discharge is revised for the 2017 water year and is a maximum daily discharge, 3,210 ft³/s, May 7, 2017.

The period 3/1/2017-08/01/2017 was audited and revised.  Due to excessive painting at the gage, instantaneous discharge was estimated for the period 5/5/2017-5/17/2017 and 5/22/2017-6/29/2017.  The new revised maximum instantaneous discharge for the 2017 WY was set to 3,360 ft³/s on May 7, 2017.

SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - May 1948 to September 1971. 1977, 1987-88, 1994, 2006 (discharge measurements only). April 2011 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Elevation of gage datum is arbitrary. Prior to Nov. 7, 1950, non recording gage at site 1,620 ft upstream at different datum. Nov. 7, 1950 to Sept. 1971, at site 1,060 ft upstream at different datum.
REMARKS - Minor diversions for nonconsumptive uses on Boulder Creek. About 97 acre-ft of storage in ponds on Prairie Creek (1961 determination).
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum daily discharge, 3,360 ft³/s, revised, May 7, 2017; minimum discharge, 8.5 ft³/s Mar. 18, 1966, gage height, 2.08 ft, site and datum then in use, but may have been less at time of avalanche Jan. 20, 1964.
WATER-QUALITY RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - Continuous water temperature data were collected from May 14 to Sept. 24, 2014.
REMARKS - Numerical uncertainty is not currently computed for time-series water-quality records but qualitative ratings are provided based on professional judgment. The temperature sensor was installed as part of a baseline study on water-quality and biological conditions on May 14, 2014 and removed indefinitely on Sept. 24, 2014. 100% of the daily values will be reported between May 15 and Sept. 23, 2014. No daily values are estimated.
