LOCATION - Lat 43°36'11", long 114°19'49" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in NW 1/4 SE 1/4 SE 1/4 sec.08, T.3 N., R.18 E., Blaine County, ID, Hydrologic Unit 17040219, Hailey quad., about 0.7 mi upstream from mouth, and east of Gimlet.
DRAINAGE AREA - 86.1 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - July 1920 to September 1921 (gage height and discharge measurements only), 1977, 1986-89, 1994, 2001, 2006 (discharge measurements only). October 2010 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder and crest-stage gage. Elevation of gage datum is arbitrary.
REMARKS - Low flow measurements 1986-89, 1994, 2001. Measured as part of seepage investigation October 2006.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum daily discharge, 822 ft³/s June 5, 2017; minimum daily discharge, 0.23 ft³/s December 10, 2021.
WATER-QUALITY RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - Continuous water temperature data were collected from May 13 to Sept. 24, 2014.
REMARKS - Numerical uncertainty is not currently computed for time-series water-quality records, however qualitative ratings are provided based on professional judgment. The temperature sensor was installed as part of a baseline study on water-quality and biological conditions on May 13, 2014 and removed indefinitely on Sept. 24, 2014. 100% of the daily values will be reported between May 14 and Sept. 23, 2014. No daily values are estimated.
