LOCATION - Lat 44°54'26", long 116°07'09" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in NW 1/4 SE 1/4 SW 1/4 sec.08, T.18 N., R.3 E., Valley County, ID, Hydrologic Unit 17050123, McCall quad., at McCall, on left bank, 0.2 mi downstream from outlet of Payette Lake, and at mile 75.2.
DRAINAGE AREA - 144 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - WSP 963: Drainage area.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - September 1908 to June 1917, May 1919 to current year. Prior to October 1942, published as "at Lardo".
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 4,967.75 ft above NGVD of 1929 (levels by Idaho Fish and Game). Non recording gage at site 1 mi downstream at different datum prior to Oct. 14, 1908, and Oct. 14, 1908 to Dec. 18, 1923, at sites near present gage at present datum.
REMARKS - Flow regulated to some extent since several years prior to 1923 by gates at outlet of Payette Lake 0.2 mi upstream (see station 13238500) and several smaller lakes upstream. Diversion for fish hatchery bypasses station and is returned below gage. Records of daily discharge of this diversion published in annual Water-Supply Papers from October 1942 to February 1953. Diversions since 1980 not comparable.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge, 4,980 ft³/s May 21, 2006, gage height, 8.14 ft; maximum gage height, 8.16 ft, June 19, 1974; no flow Nov. 5-8, 1931, Nov. 17-24, 1933, Nov. 14-27, 1935, Oct. 22 to Nov. 11, 1938.
