LOCATION - Lat 44°41'30", long 114°02'49" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in SE 1/4 NW 1/4 sec.25, T.16 N., R.20 E., Lemhi County, ID, Hydrologic Unit 17060202, Ellis quad., on right bank about 500 ft upstream from mouth, at Ellis.
DRAINAGE AREA - 830 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 1984 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder and crest-stage gage. Datum of gage is 4,638,84 feet above NAVD 1988. 
REMARKS - Flow may significantly be affected by backwater from the confluence of the Salmon River located 700 ft downstream from gage, many times each year.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum daily discharge, 710 ft³/s June 4, 1986; maximum gage height, 7.37 ft, June 2, 1986, backwater from Salmon River; minimum daily discharge, 87 ft³/s May 20, 2003.
