14012000 WALLA WALLA RIVER AT MILTON-FREEWATER, OR
LOCATION - Lat 45°55'17.8", long 118°22'28.3" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Umatilla County, OR, Hydrologic Unit 17070102, on left bank on downstream side of bridge, 0.8 mi downstream of Couse Creek, and 0.7 mi southeast of Milton-Freewater.
DRAINAGE AREA - 160 mi².  
REVISIONS HISTORY - Revisions: The drainage area was revised on Feb. 23, 2021. WSP 1318: Drainage Area.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - January 1903 to September 1905 (monthly discharge only for some periods published in WSP 1318), February 2021 to October 2022 (discontinued).
GAGE - Water-stage recorder and crest-stage gage. The datum of the gage has not been determined. Jan. 1903 to Sept. 1905 at site 0.6 mi upstream at a different datum.
REMARKS - No regulation. Many diversions for irrigation above station.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge, 3,240 ft³/s Mar. 8, 1904; gage height 3.96 ft, datum then in use, from rating curve extended above 1,400 ft³/s; minimum discharge 87.3 ft³/s Aug. 16, 2021.
