LOCATION - Lat 45°41'20.85", long 118°21'16.01" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in SE 1/4 SE 1/4 sec.31, T.3 N., R.36 E., Umatilla County, OR, Hydrologic Unit 17070103, on left bank, 0.2 mi downstream from Union Pacific railroad bridge, 0.9 mi southeast of Gibbon and at mile 1.3.
DRAINAGE AREA - 176 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - Revisions: The maximum gage-height for water year 2020 was revised on May 3, 2022 based on high-water mark found in gage house.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - August 1975 to March 2007, October 2007 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder and crest-stage gage. Datum of gage is 1,793.05 ft above NGVD of 1929. Prior to Feb. 28, 2020 at site 800 ft upstream at a datum 10 ft higher.
REMARKS - No known regulation or diversion upstream from station.
EXTREMES OUTSIDE PERIOD OF RECORD - Flood of Jan. 25, 1975, reached a stage of 7.21 ft, from floodmark, discharge, about 8,200 ft³/s.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge, 9,340 ft³/s Feb. 6, 2020, gage height, 10.81 ft, site and datum then in use, from high-water mark in gage house; minimum discharge, 5.2 ft³/s Aug. 16, 20-22, 27, 28, 2005.
