LOCATION - Lat 43°56'40", long 122°45'20" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in SW 1/4 sec.01, T.19 S., R.1 W., Lane County, OR, Hydrologic Unit 17090001, in regulating tower near the center of Fall Creek Dam on Fall Creek, 2.2 mi northeast of Lowell, and at mile 7.2.
DRAINAGE AREA - 184 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - January 1966 to September 2003, August 2013 to current year. Prior to October 1971, published as Fall Creek Reservoir near Lowell.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is NGVD of 1929 (levels by U.S. Army Corps of Engineers).
COOPERATION - Capacity table furnished by U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
REMARKS - Reservoir is formed by earthfill dam and concrete gate and spillway section, completed in 1965 by U.S. Army Corps of Engineers; storage began January 1966. Total capacity is 125,100 acre-ft at elevation 834 ft and active capacity is 115,500 acre-ft between elevation 728 ft and 834 ft. Lakes primary purposes are flood risk management, water quality improvement, irrigation, fish and wildlife habitat, recreation and improved navigation. Month-end contents and change in contents discontinued water year 2014.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum elevation, 834.24 ft Apr. 9, 2019; minimum elevation recorded since August 2013, 676.10 ft Oct. 26, 2020.
