LOCATION - Lat 43°56'40", long 122°46'25" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in NW 1/4 SE 1/4 sec.02, T.19 S., R.1 W., Lane County, OR, Hydrologic Unit 17090001, on right bank, 10 ft upstream from highway bridge, 1.1 mi downstream from Fall Creek Dam, 2.3 mi southeast of town of Fall Creek and at mile 6.1.
DRAINAGE AREA - 186 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - WSP 1094: 1946(M). WSP 1248: Drainage area.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October to December 1911 (published as Big Fall Creek near Fall Creek; gage heights and discharge measurements only), September 1935 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder and crest-stage gage. Datum of gage is 637.81 ft above NGVD of 1929 (U.S. Army Corps of Engineers bench mark). Oct. 1 to Dec. 31, 1911, nonrecording gage at site 0.25 mi downstream at different datum. Sept. 9, 1935 to Aug. 3, 1950, nonrecording gage and Aug. 4, 1950 to Aug. 26, 1982, water-stage recorder, on left bank, at present site and datum. Aug. 27, 1982 gage moved to right bank at present site and datum.
REMARKS - Flow regulated since 1966 by Fall Creek Lake (active capacity, 115,500 acre-ft). No diversion upstream from station. Computation of monthly and annual adjusted flows discontinued water year 2014.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge, 24,700 ft³/s Dec. 11, 1956, gage height, 18.89 ft, from rating curve extended above 9,700 ft³/s; minimum discharge, 1.5 ft³/s Oct. 7, 8, 1965.

REMARKS - TURBIDITY: Data collected using an Aqua-TROLL 600 sonde. Manufacturer's stated accuracy is the greater of +/- 2 percent or +/- 0.5 formazin nephelometric units (FNU) for 0-4000 FNU.  Prior to August 2023 data was collected using a Hydrolab DS5X turbidity sensor. Manufacturer's stated accuracy is the greater of +/- 1 percent up to 100 FNU or +/- 3 percent from 100-400 FNU, or +/-5 percent from 400-3000 FNU. Negative recorded values are reported as 0.0 FNU.
