LOCATION - Lat 45°28'34", long 123°43'26" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in SE 1/4 SE 1/4 sec.13, T.1 S., R.9 W., Tillamook County, OR, Hydrologic Unit 17100203, on right bank, 1.3 mi downstream from Ming Creek, 6.0 mi east of Tillamook and at mile 9.3.
DRAINAGE AREA - 161 mi².

SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 1914 to September 1915, August to November 1916, July 1931 to current year. Prior to January 1915, monthly discharge only, published in WSP 1318.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder and crest-stage gage. Datum of gage is 42.12 ft above NGVD of 1929. Dec. 18, 1914 to Nov. 4, 1916, nonrecording gage at site 0.65 mi downstream at different datum. July 30, 1931 to Sept. 30, 1938, nonrecording gage at site 0.08 mi upstream at datum 0.93 ft higher. Oct. 1, 1938 to Oct. 17, 1968, water-stage recorder at site 0.1 mi upstream at same datum. Oct. 18, 1968 to Sept. 6, 1973, at site 2.19 mi upstream at datum 29.76 ft higher. Sept. 7, 1973 to Sept. 30, 2003, at site 2.2 mi upstream at datum 29.76 ft higher.
REMARKS - No regulation. Small diversions upstream from station. Precipitation records for period October 2008 to September 2009 have been collected at this location. Continuous water-quality records for period August 2011 to October 2014 have been collected at this location.
EXTREMES OUTSIDE PERIOD OF RECORD - Flood in February 1916 reached a stage of 20.8 ft, from floodmark, site and datum then in use.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge, 38,600 ft³/s Nov. 6, 2006, gage height, 22.89 ft; minimum discharge, 32 ft³/s Sept. 5, 1973, but may have been less for short period following a landslide Jan. 31, 1965.
