LOCATION - Lat 43°16'35.1", long 122°26'59.9" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in NW 1/4 SE 1/4 sec.27, T.27 S., R.3 E., Douglas County, OR, Hydrologic Unit 17100301, Umpqua National Forest and at mile 73.1.
DRAINAGE AREA - 336.77 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 2003 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder and crest-stage gage. Elevation of gage is 1,950 ft above NGVD of 1929, from topographic map. Prior to Apr. 6, 2010, at site 500 ft upstream at different datum.
REMARKS - Minimum flow requirements are maintained by diversion dam upstream from station which diverts water to Slide Creek Canal for power generation at Slide Creek Powerplant. Water returns to North Umpqua River 2.5 mi downstream, 0.5 mi upstream from Soda Springs Reservoir.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum daily discharge, 4,600 ft³/s Jan. 17, 2011, computed by flow-routing method; minimum discharge, 22 ft³/s Oct. 13, 2004, Apr. 4, 5, 2006.
