LOCATION - Lat 42°13'06.1", long 122°43'29.9" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in SE 1/4 SE 1/4 sec.32, T.38 S., R.1 E., Jackson County, OR, Hydrologic Unit 17100308, on right bank, 0.4 mi downstream from Ashland Creek and at mile 20.6.
DRAINAGE AREA - 179 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - Revisions: Drainage area was revised from 168 mi² on Jan. 31, 2023. 
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - July 1990 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder and crest-stage gage. Datum of gage is 1,678.27 ft above NAVD of 1988. Prior to Sept. 9, 2021, at site 0.2 mi upstream at datum 11.86 ft higher.
REMARKS - Flow regulated since 1924 by Emigrant Lake (active capacity, 39,000 acre-ft). Water is diverted into basin from Klamath River basin. Many diversions for irrigation upstream from station.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge, 12,000 ft³/s Jan. 1, 1997, gage height 11.00 ft; minimum discharge, 0.33 ft³/s Oct. 18, 1990.
