USGS Water-Year Summary 2023
LOCATION - Lat 60°40'18", long 144°44'41" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in SE 1/4 NE 1/4 SE 1/4 sec.07, T.14 S., R.4 E., Valdez-Cordova Division, AK, Hydrologic Unit 19020104, (Cordova C-2 quad), on downstream side of center span of the Million Dollar Bridge at mile 49 of Copper River Highway and outlet to Miles Lake, about 30 miles upstream from mouth and 36 miles northeast of Cordova.
DRAINAGE AREA - 24,030 mi². approximately.

WDR AK-99-1: Drainage area. Daily discharge for the month of September 2013 were revised for water year 2013, superseding those published in the report for 2013 (http://wdr.water.usgs.gov/wy2013/pdfs/15214000.2013.pdf).

Gage height and discharge records from Oct. 25, 2017 to Apr. 15, 2018 were previously published in error. Those data did not meet USGS quality assurance standards and were deleted.

PERIOD OF RECORD - August 1907 to 1910 (no winter record), gage-height only, published in Water Supply Paper 372 and June to October 1913 (fragmentary record). Published as "at Miles Glacier", August 1907 to October 1913.  June 1988 to September 1995.  June 2005 to Sept. 2007 and May 2009 to current (no winter records water years 2006 to 2016, 2018, 2022 and 2023). 
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Elevation of gage is 150 ft above sea level from topographic map. Prior to October 1913, non-recording gage near present site at different datums. June 1, 1988 to June 17, 1989, and May 1 to June 8, 2005, non-recording gage at same site and datum. Gage-height values published June 1, 1988 to September 30, 1995 are 100 ft. below gage datum.
REMARKS - GOES satellite telemetry at station.
