LOCATION - Lat 59°41'04", long 150°42'12" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Kenai Peninsula Borough, AK, Hydrologic Unit 19020202, (Seldovia C-2 quad), on left bank, 0.4 mi downstream from terminus of Nuka Glacier, 4.9 mi southeast of Bradley Lake, and 29 mi east of Homer.
DRAINAGE AREA -
Indeterminate. Nuka Glacier flow diverted into Bradley Lake via U Bradley R tributary beginning Jul. 1990.
Prior to July 29, 1990, drainage area was approximately 3 mi², and varied with changes in terminus of glacier.

WDR AK-89-1: 1985 (Instantaneous maximum discharge), 1986-88.
Revisions: Gage status changed to Seasonal retroactive back to 2016 WY. 2016-2018 water year winter Gage height and Discharge data were deleted on Oct. 31, 2019. During this revision, 1984-1988 water year winter Discharge daily mean data were qualified as Estimated based on historic Station Analyses; 1991-1992 erroneous or unusable instantaneous Discharge data were deleted; 2007 water year estimated Discharge break-up peak daily mean values were found unjustified and deleted.
Peak computation and publication discontinued beginning 2017 WY.

PERIOD OF RECORD - Occasional low-flow measurements, water years 1980-81, prior to shift in glacier terminus; September 1984 to current year. Records prior to July 29, 1990, are not equivalent. Published as "Upper Nuka River near Homer" prior to October 1989. Low-flow records not equivalent prior to November 1987 because most low-flow measurements were made at site 0.5 mi downstream. October 2018 to current year, seasonal records only.
