REMARKS - Oct. 1, 2013 to September 30, 2014: records fair except for estimated daily discharges, which are poor. GOES satellite telemetry at station.
WATER-QUALITY RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - Water years 1955, 1970, 1975-1986, 2003, and 2013-2014.
PERIOD OF DAILY RECORD - WATER TEMPERATURE: June 1975 to July 1983 (seasonal), and May 2013 to September 2014. TURBIDITY: May 2013 to September 2014 (seasonal).
INSTRUMENTATION - Electronic water temperature recorder and turbidimeter set for 15 minute recording interval.
REMARKS - WATER TEMPERATURE: October 1, 2013 to September 30, 2014: Records rated poor. Records represent water temperature at the sensor within 0.2°C. Periods of missing data due to probe being out of the water. Temperature at the sensor was compared with the stream average by cross section on April 2, May 15, 27, and 28, July 1, August 6, and September 3, 2014. The maximum variation found within the cross section was 2.2°C occurring July 1. The maximum variation between mean stream temperature and temperature at the monitor was 1.0°C occurring July 1, 2014. TURBIDITY: October 1, 2013 to September 30, 2014: Records rated poor. Records represent turbidity at the sensor. Periods of erroneous data are due to sensor being out of the water. Turbidity at the sensor was compared with the cross section median on April 2, May 15, 27, and 28, July 1, August 6, and September 3, 2014. Stream is poorly mixed at the cross section. Maximum variation found within the cross section was 94 FNU (240 - 146 FNU), occurring July 1, 2014. The maximum variation found between the median stream turbidity and turbidity at the monitor was 41 FNU (181 vs. 140 FNU), occurring July 1.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF DAILY RECORD - WATER TEMPERATURE: Maximum, 16.5°C, July 9, 1976 and July 3, 4, 1979; minimum recorded, 0.0°C, many days during winter period. TURBIDITY: Maximum recorded, 830 FNU, August 22, 2013; minimum recorded, 45 FNU, September 19, 2013.
