LOCATION - Lat 59°50'18", long 156°41'30" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in SW 1/4 SW 1/4 SW 1/4 sec.09, T.4 S., R.43 W., Dillingham Division, AK, Hydrologic Unit 19030302, (Dillingham D-2 quad), on right bank 1.3 mi upstream of confluence with Stuyahok River.
DRAINAGE AREA - 3,640 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - June 2009 to October 2014 (discontinued).
GAGE - Water stage recorder. Elevation of gage is 250 feet above sea level, from topographic map.
REMARKS - Records fair, except estimated discharges, which are poor. GOES satellite telemetry at station.

INSTRUMENTATION - Electronic water-temperature recorder set for 15-minute recording interval
REMARKS - Records represent water temperature at the sensor within 0.2°C. Temperature at the sensor was compared with the average for the stream by cross section on August 14, 2014. There was 0.1°C variation within the cross section. The variation between the mean stream temperature and sensor temperature is less than 0.2°C. Records good.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF DAILY RECORD - WATER TEMPERATURE: Maximum, 16.7°C, July 5, 2014; minimum, 0.0°C on many days during winter periods.
