16330000 Kamananui Stream at Maunawai, Oahu, HI
LOCATION - Lat 21°38'07.7", long 158°03'16.5" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Honolulu County, HI, Hydrologic Unit 20060000, on right bank, 0.7 miles (1.1 km) upstream from mouth, located at Waimea Falls Park, 5.9 miles (9.5 km) northeast of Waialua High School, and 7.4 miles (11.9 km) southwest of Kahuku School.
DRAINAGE AREA - 12.35 mi². including that of Elehaha Stream that has primarily been diverted into Kamananui Stream since June 14, 1975, from automated delineation using 10-meter National Elevation Dataset digital elevation model data dated September 2006 and Watershed Boundary Dataset dated May 2008, using UTM Zone 4 projection, NAD 83 horizontal datum.
REVISIONS HISTORY - WSP 1937: 1958-60. WRD Hawaii 1974: 1971(P), 1972-73(M). WDR HI-81-1: Drainage Area. WDR HI-10-1: Drainage Area.  Discharge data was revised from Dec. 29, 2018 to Jan. 2, 2019 on Sept. 20, 2019.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - February 1958 to current year.
GAGE - Gage destroyed by flood of November 20, 1990 was restored and water-stage recorder installed on February 25, 1993. Control rebuilt about 75 feet downstream of gage. Elevation of gage is 20 feet above mean sea level (from topographic map). Prior to May 18, 1966, datum 2.00 feet higher.
REMARKS - Small diversion upstream of station.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge, 16,800 ft³/s, November 20, 1990, gage height, 15.84 feet, from rating curve extended above 150 ft³/s on basis of slope-area measurements at gage heights 5.68 feet, 11.46 feet, and 15.84 feet; no flow at times.
