LOCATION - Lat 20°48'19.4", long 156°13'52.4" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Maui County, HI, Hydrologic Unit 20020000, 1,000 feet upstream from Kula pipeline intake, 2.55 miles north of Hosmers Grove, and 3.03 miles east of the intersection of Olinda and Piiholo roads.
DRAINAGE AREA - 2.50 mi², from automated delineation using 10-meter National Elevation Dataset digital elevation model data dated September 2006 and Watershed Boundary Dataset dated May 2008, using UTM Zone 4 projection, NAD 83 horizontal datum.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - July 1953 to September 1968. September 2009 to current year. (Published as Waikamoi Stream above reservoir at Kula pipeline intake, near Olinda, July 1953 to September 1968).
GAGE - Water stage recorder. Elevation of the gage is at 4,487 ft above mean sea level and about 600 ft downstream of the confluence of West Branch of Waikamoi Stream and East Branch of Waikamoi Stream. Prior to October 1, 1968, at datum 0.38 ft higher.
REMARKS - No known diversions upstream of the gage.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge, 2,600 ft³/s, December 10, 1954, gage height, 8.16 ft, datum then in use, from rating curve extended above 9.9 ft³/s on basis of computation of flow over dam; minimum, no flow at times.
