LOCATION - Lat 17°57'21.2", long 66°15'13.7" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Salinas Municipio, PR, Hydrologic Unit 21010004, 0.75 mi (1.21 km) east of Las Mareas, 1.86 mi (3.0 km) west of Central Aguirre, and 0.96 mi (1.55 km) south of Highway 3.
GROUNDWATER RECORDS
WELL CHARACTERISTICS - Depth 87 ft. Upper casing diameter 4 in; top of first opening 77 ft, bottom of last opening 87 ft.
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 6.90 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929. Measuring point: TOP OF PVC CASING, 3.45 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929, Nov. 18, 2005 to May 29, 2013; TOP OF METAL CASING, 1.07 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929, May 28, 2013 to present.
PERIOD OF RECORD - November 18, 2005 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder 15 minute interval.
COOPERATION - Funding for site provided by the Puerto Rico Environmental Quality Board and the U.S. Geological Survey.
REMARKS - Deeper well of set of two nested piezometers.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Highest water level recorded, 1.60 ft above land-surface datum, October 16, 2008; lowest water level recorded, 4.87 ft below land-surface datum, June 03, 2022.
