LOCATION - Lat 25°10'32", long 80°47'34" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Miami-Dade County, FL, Hydrologic Unit 03090202, Northeast part of Garfield Bight, approximately 8.5 mi east northeast of the marina located in Flamingo.
DRAINAGE AREA - Indeterminate.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - April 2007 to current year.
GAGE - Acoustic Doppler velocity meter with up-looking acoustic depth sensor. Datum of gage is North American Vertical Datum of 1988 (NAVD 88).
REMARKS - Positive flow is westerly towards Garfield Bight. The discharge for this station is more affected by wind than astronomical tides. Discharge at wind-driven sites may require a different filter (subtidal) than the Godin low-pass filter. Daily mean discharge is not published. Mean monthly discharge tables for the period of record are published. Mean monthly discharge tables only include months with a complete record of daily mean discharges. Discharge and gage height records are available in the files of the U.S. Geological Survey.
