LOCATION - Lat 25°32'34.9", long 80°30'08.6" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in SW 1/4 NE 1/4 sec.23, T.56 S., R.38 E., Miami-Dade County, FL, Hydrologic Unit 03090202, near northeast corner of SW 240th Street and SW 192nd Avenue (Tower Road), 1.5 mi west of State Road 997 (Krome Avenue), 5.2 mi northwest of Homestead.
GROUNDWATER RECORDS
WELL CHARACTERISTICS - Depth 33 ft. Upper casing diameter 6 in; top of first opening 12 ft, bottom of last opening 33 ft. Open hole interval measures 12 to 23.6 ft. See REMARKS.
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 8.80 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929. Measuring point: top of casing, survey method not reported, 12.44 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929, Dec. 1, 1968 to Aug. 17, 1997; Top of base, 11.63 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929, Sep. 30, 1997 to Jun. 25, 2014; top of base, 11.61 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929, Jun. 25, 2014 to present. See REMARKS.
PERIOD OF RECORD - November 1968 to current year.
GAGE - Electronic data logger.
COOPERATION - Miami-Dade County.
REMARKS - Station reconstructed August 28, 1997. See DATUM. Records of water levels prior to October 1973 are available in files of the U.S. Geological Survey. The open interval of the well has become obstructed or has collapsed at a depth of 23.6 ft. The well remains in communication with the aquifer from 12 to 23.6 ft.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Highest water level, 9.66 ft NGVD, Sept. 10, 2017; lowest measured, 0.43 ft below NGVD, May 4, 1971.
