Biscayne Limestone Aquifer
LOCATION - Lat 25°40'40.1", long 80°27'59.2" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in SE 1/4 NE 1/4 sec.06, T.55 S., R.39 E., Miami-Dade County, FL, Hydrologic Unit 03090202, 0.9 mi east of State Road 997 (Krome Avenue), 0.4 mi south of State Road 94 (Kendall Drive), and 9.2 mi west of Kendall.
REVISIONS HISTORY - The published figures of water levels as elevation, in feet NGVD, for October 1969 to November 1978 has been revised. Previous corrections published prior to water year 2001 are in error. Corrected records are in the files of the U.S. Geological Survey.
GROUNDWATER RECORDS
WELL CHARACTERISTICS - Depth 20 ft. Upper casing diameter 6 in; top of first opening 10 ft, bottom of last opening 20 ft. Open hole well. Open interval measures 10 to 12.5 ft. See REMARKS.
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 7.90 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929. Measuring point: Top of base, 10.67 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929, Jul. 1, 1999 to present. Land-surface datum is 6.34 ft (Revised), above North American Vertical Datum of 1988.
PERIOD OF RECORD - January 1958 to current year.
GAGE - Electronic data logger.
COOPERATION - South Florida Water Management District.
REMARKS - The well was originally reported open to the aquifer from 10 to 20 ft. The open interval has since become obstructed or collapsed at a depth of 12.5 ft. Well was reconstructed July 1970, September 1978, August 1986, July 29, 1993 and July 1999.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Highest water level, 8.37 ft NGVD, Oct. 15, 1999; daily lowest, 0.52 ft NGVD, present datum, May 14, 1971.
