LOCATION - Lat 25°44'44.33", long 80°14'47.04" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in SE 1/4 NW 1/4 sec.16, T.54 S., R.41 E., Miami-Dade County, FL, Hydrologic Unit 03090202, at northwest corner of SW 24th Terrace and SW 32nd Avenue, 0.5 mi north of U.S. Highway 1, and 3.8 mi northeast of South Miami.
GROUNDWATER RECORDS
WELL CHARACTERISTICS - Depth 77 ft. Upper casing diameter 6 in; top of first opening undefined, bottom of last opening undefined.
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 9.50 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929. Measuring point: top of casing, 11.17 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929, May. 2, 1940 to Oct. 1, 1982; top of plywood base, 11.26 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929, Oct. 1, 1982 to present. See REMARKS.
PERIOD OF RECORD - May 1940 to current year.
GAGE - Electronic data logger.
REMARKS - Although the top of casing measuring point has been reported in previous publications as "lip of hydrant", the measuring point in use for water-level measurements did not change until December 1982. See DATUM. Water-level elevation records of that period are not considered to be in error. Records of water levels prior to January 1957 are available in files of the U.S. Geological Survey.
