LOCATION - Lat 25°45'42.3", long 80°35'27.1" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in SW 1/4 sec.00, T.54 S., R.37 E., Miami-Dade County, FL, Hydrologic Unit 03090202, on north bank of Levee 29 in control house 100 ft east of structure 355A, 2.4 mi west of structure 355B, 6.7 mi west of State Road 997.
DRAINAGE AREA - Indeterminate.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 2000 to September 2003, April 2015 to current year.
GAGE - Satellite data collection platform with water-stage shaft encoders for upstream and downstream inside structure 355A control house; potentiometer-gage recorder attached to hydraulic ram of gate. Datum of gage is National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929 and 1.54 feet below North American Vertical Datum of 1988. From October 2000 through September 2003, gage datum 0.22 feet lower.
COOPERATION - U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
REMARKS - Single gated spillway structure in Levee 29 connecting Water Conservation 3A to Levee 29 canal between S-333 and S-334. To date, gate not opened for flow release purposes but is periodically opened for maintenance purposes when conditions allow.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - UPSTREAM STAGES: Maximum gage height, 9.98 ft NGV29 Nov. 18, 2020; minimum, 4.95 ft NGVD29 May 22, 23, 2001. DOWNSTREAM STAGES: Maximum gage height, 8.64 ft NGVD29 Nov. 11, 2020; minimum, 4.91 ft NGVD29 May 22, 23, 2001.
