LOCATION - Lat 25°50'27.0", long 80°24'09.6" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in SE 1/4 SE 1/4 SE 1/4 sec.11, T.53 S., R.39 E., Miami-Dade County, FL, Hydrologic Unit 03090202, on north side of NW 74th Street Extension, 0.8 mi west of Snapper Creek Canal Extension, and 1.0 mi north of NW 58th Street.
GROUNDWATER RECORDS
WELL CHARACTERISTICS - Depth 60 ft. Upper casing diameter 4 in; top of first opening 20 ft, bottom of last opening 60 ft.
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 5.10 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929. Measuring point: Top of base, 7.43 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929, May. 1, 1983 to Mar. 27, 2002; Top of base, 9.07 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929, Mar. 27, 2002 to Jul. 12, 2004; Top of base, 9.08 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929, Jul. 11, 2004 to Jan. 25, 2022; Top of base, 7.845 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929, Jan. 25, 2022 to present.
PERIOD OF RECORD - May 1983 to current year.
GAGE - Satellite data collection platform with water level recorder.
REMARKS - Water levels affected by pumping. The station was destroyed by wildfire on July 11, 2004, and reconstructed on July 26, 2004. Record of maximum water levels that occurred during Hurricane Irene October 1999, is incomplete because of equipment failure. Well reconstructed for a higher measuring point March 27, 2002.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Highest water level, 7.49 ft NGVD, several days in Oct. 1999; lowest measured, 0.14 ft NGVD, May 21, 1984.
