LOCATION - Lat 26°05'45.8", long 80°08'18.6" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in NE 1/4 SE 1/4 SE 1/4 sec.15, T.50 S., R.42 E., Broward County, FL, Hydrologic Unit 03090202, at SE 4th Avenue and 20th Street in Fort Lauderdale, 0.2 mi west of U.S. Highway 1, and 0.3 mi north of State Road 84.
GROUNDWATER RECORDS
WELL CHARACTERISTICS - Depth 20.3 ft. Upper casing diameter 6 in; top of first opening 19.7 ft, bottom of last opening 20.3 ft.
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 8.50 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929. Measuring point: top of casing, 9.85 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929, Feb. 9, 1948 to May 22, 1987; top of shelf, 10.11 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929, May 21, 1987 to Oct. 30, 2003; top of base, 11.4 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929, Oct. 29, 2003 to Sep. 24, 2007; top of base, 11.92 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929, Oct. 4, 2007 to present. PERIOD OF RECORD - February 1948 to current year.
GAGE - Electronic data logger with water-level sensor.
REMARKS - Station damaged September 23, 2007. Repaired and releveled October 4, 2007, new measuring point of 11.925 ft established. Records of water levels prior to January 1957 are available in files of the U.S. Geological Survey. See DATUM.
