LOCATION - Lat 26°02'02.8", long 80°23'07.1" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in NE 1/4 SE 1/4 sec.06, T.51 S., R.40 E., Broward County, FL, Hydrologic Unit 03090202, at SW 178th Avenue (Rolling Oaks Road) and SW 68th Court, 1.9 mi south of Griffin Road and east of Mathus Drive, 7.8 mi west of Davie.
GROUNDWATER RECORDS
WELL CHARACTERISTICS - Depth 22 ft. Upper casing diameter 6 in; top of first opening 21 ft, bottom of last opening 22 ft. Open-end well.
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 6.30 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929. Measuring point: Top of base, 9.44 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929, Jan. 1, 1972 to present. Land-surface datum is 4.83 ft, above North American Vertical Datum of 1988.
PERIOD OF RECORD - January 1972 to current year.
GAGE - Electronic data logger.
COOPERATION - Broward County.
REMARKS - Well depth soundings indicate the well may be obstructed approximately 6 ft below land surface. Based on a hydrographic review of the data, the well is considered to remain in communication with the aquifer. The obstruction noted may be the result of sediment heaving into the well through the open interval, as has been observed at other sites in the area. Records of water levels prior to October 1973 are available in files of the U.S. Geological Survey.
