DATUM - Land-surface datum is 2.70 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929. Measuring point: Top of 6-in. steel coupling, 4.09 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929, Jan. 1, 1964 to Feb. 15, 1977; Top of 2-in. elbow, 4.59 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929, Feb. 14, 1977 to Jan. 7, 1999; Center of transducer, 6.15 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929, Jan. 6, 1999 to May. 24, 2002; Top of fancet, 6.4 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929, Jan. 6, 1999 to May. 24, 2002; X on 10 inch casing, 4.14 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929, May. 23, 2002 to present; X on top of 2 in. PERIOD OF RECORD - January 1964 to September 1993 (monthly), October 1993 to September 1994 (semiannual), October 1994 to February 1997 (monthly), May 1997 to current year.
GAGE - Electronic data logger with pressure transducer.
REMARKS - Data from artesian wells measured with a calibrated pressure gage are considered accurate to +/-0.1 ft. Water levels affected by nearby pumping. Records of water levels prior to October 1978 are available in the files of the U.S. Geological Survey. Changes in measuring point elevation, February 1997, January 1999, and May 2002 were the result of station reconstruction.  The well lost pressure from April 27, 2018 to May 17, 2018.  During this period, instrumentation was not available for continuous recording.  The wellhead was modified May 16- May 17, 2018, to allow access for pressure gage readings, and chalked steel tape measurements throughout the changes in potentiometric head.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Highest water level measured, 25.8 ft NGVD, Oct. 7, 1992; lowest recorded, 1.1 ft NGVD, Oct. 21, 2021.
