LOCATION - Lat 26°31'18.0", long 82°05'09.2" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in SE 1/4 SW 1/4 sec.26, T.45 S., R.22 E., Lee County, FL, Hydrologic Unit 03100103, 32 ft west of H. Stringfellow Road (County Road 767) and 6.6 mi south of Pine Island Road and 0.9 mi north of Saint James City Post Office.
GROUNDWATER RECORDS
WELL CHARACTERISTICS - Depth 645 ft. Upper casing diameter 4 in; top of first opening 405 ft, bottom of last opening 645 ft. Artesian well, open hole 405 to 645 ft.
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 3.90 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929. Measuring point: Top of casing, 6.19 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929, Oct. 25, 1977 to Sep. 1, 2002; Top of 5/16-in. carriage bolt securing base, 6.44 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929, Sep. 1, 2002 to present.
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 1977 to September 1993 (monthly), October 1993 to September 1994 (intermittent), October 1994 to August 2002 (monthly), August 2002 to current year.
GAGE - Electronic data logger with pressure transducer.  Prior to October 2018, satellite data collection platform, with pressure transducer.
REMARKS - Data from artesian wells measured with a calibrated pressure gage are considered accurate to +/- 0.1 ft. Records of water levels prior to October 1978 are available in files of the U.S. Geological Survey.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Highest water level measured, 34.60 ft NGVD, Apr. 22, 1997; lowest, 24.74 ft NGVD, May. 13, 2009.
