LOCATION - Lat 26°33'26", long 81°52'24" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in SE 1/4 SE 1/4 sec.14, T.45 S., R.24 E., Lee County, FL, Hydrologic Unit 03090205, 175 ft north of College Parkway, 0.1 mi west of U.S. Highway 41, and 6.0 mi south of Fort Myers Post Office.
GROUNDWATER RECORDS
WELL CHARACTERISTICS - Depth 225 ft. Upper casing diameter 8 in; top of first opening 138 ft, bottom of last opening 225 ft. Artesian well, open hole 138 to 225 ft.
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 10.3 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929. Measuring point: Top of shelf, 11.47 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929, Oct. 1, 1968 to Oct. 1, 1989; Top of recorder shelf, 11.44 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929, Oct. 1, 1989 to present.
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 1968 to current year.
GAGE - Satellite data collection platform, with pressure transducer.
REMARKS - Well monitored weekly for water quality from June 2007 to Aug 2007, monthly from Sept 2007 to July 2008. Well was also used for salinity monitoring until September 2004. Records of water levels, prior to October 1973, are available in the files of the U.S. Geological Survey. A borehole camera log collected in 2001 revealed that bottom 25 feet of this well's open interval has collapsed. Salinity samples are collected at a depth of 200 ft.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Highest water level, 1.60 ft below NGVD, Oct. 9, 10, 12, 1982; lowest, 78.61 ft below NGVD, May 16, 1974.
