LOCATION - Lat 26°39'49", long 81°35'53" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in NW 1/4 NW 1/4 SW 1/4 sec.11, T.44 S., R.27 E., Lee County, FL, Hydrologic Unit 03090205, 20 ft east of Joel Boulevard, about 0.1 mi south of E 18th Street, 3.1 mi south of intersection of State Road 80 and Joel Boulevard and 5.1 mi northeast of Lehigh Acres Post Office.
GROUNDWATER RECORDS
WELL CHARACTERISTICS - Depth 71 ft. Upper casing diameter 4 in; top of first opening 67 ft, bottom of last opening 71 ft. Artesian well, open hole 67 to 71 ft.
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 22.28 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929. Measuring point: Top of recorder shelf, 24.08 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929, Jan. 19, 1981 to present.
PERIOD OF RECORD - July 1968 to October 1996 (daily), November 1996 to February 1997 (monthly), March 1997 to October 2018 (continuous), November 2018 to current year.
GAGE - Monthly measurement with chalked tape.
REMARKS - Records of water levels prior to October 1973 are available in files of the U.S. Geological Survey. From January 1981 to September 1989, top of shelf was erroneously reported as 1.86 ft above land-surface datum, but the correct measurement point elevation was used. Station reconstructed January 1981. See DATUM.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Highest daily maximum water level, 18.53 ft NGVD, Mar. 30, 1970; lowest, 6.44 ft NGVD, May 31, 2007.
