LOCATION - Lat 26°59'29.04", long 80°09'17.4" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in NE 1/4 NW 1/4 SW 1/4 sec.16, T.40 S., R.42 E., Martin County, FL, Hydrologic Unit 03090202, on the Loxahatchee River, Jupiter, Fl, 3.67 mi west of State Road 811 Alternate (A1A), 2.2 mi east of U.S. Interstate 95.
DRAINAGE AREA - Indeterminate.
REVISIONS HISTORY - The Specific conductance (uS/cm.) and Salinity (ppt.) data, for the period April 19, 2017 at 13:59:00  to  July 12, 2017 at 12:00:00, was revised on May 4, 2018.  A fouling correction was applied to this period, and data exceeding the 30% correction threshold (June 15, 2017 at 14:00:00 to July 12, 2017 at 12:00:00) were deleted.  
PERIOD OF RECORD - December 2002 to current year.
GAGE - Satellite data collection platform with water-stage shaft encoder. Datum of gage is arbitrary.

REMARKS - Prior to October 2006, salinity computed directly from specific conductance using rating within water-quality monitor. The minimum salinity previously reported as 0.0 was actually 0.040 ppt rounded to 0.0 ppt. The previously reported minimum should be revised to 0.10 ppt (minimum instrument accuracy). The published period of record extremes have been revised but the minimums in the files of the U.S. Geological Survey have not been revised for water years 2003 to 2005. October 2006 to current year salinity computed from specific conductance, corrected and computed through rating in the NWIS database.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - SALINITY: Maximum recorded, 23.1 ppt May 8, 2007; minimum recorded, 0.1 ppt many days during 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016. SPECIFIC CONDUCTANCE: Maximum recorded, 36,506 uS/cm @25°C May 8, 2007; minimum recorded, 48 uS/cm @25°C June 5, 2020. WATER TEMPERATURE: Maximum recorded, 33.5°C July 30, 2016, minimum recorded, 10.0°C Jan. 11, 2010.
