LOCATION - Lat 27°01'38.8", long 82°23'52.6" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in NE 1/4 NW 1/4 SW 1/4 sec.3, T.40 S., R.19 E., Sarasota County, FL, Hydrologic Unit 03100201, 30 ft west of State Highway 775, and 5.0 mi northwest of Englewood.
REVISIONS HISTORY - Groundwater level of 14.88 ft above NGVD 1929, measured on July 26, 2004, was revised and rejected on Sep. 23, 2020, due to calculation error.
GROUNDWATER RECORDS
WELL CHARACTERISTICS - Depth 305 ft. Upper casing diameter 4 in; top of first opening 263 ft, bottom of last opening 305 ft. Drilled, observation, artesian well.
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 17.53 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929. Measuring point: Top of recorder shelter floor, 26.52 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929, Mar. 11, 1966 to Nov. 18, 2014; High point on brass fitting, 22.63 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929, Nov. 18, 2014 to Jun. 9, 2016; Highest point on brass valve, 21.84 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929, Jun. 8, 2016 to present.
PERIOD OF RECORD - November 1966 to current year. Records of water levels prior to January 1974 are not published but are available in files of the Geological Survey.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder--15-minute interval.
COOPERATION - This gage is monitored in cooperation with Southwest Florida Water Management District.
