LOCATION - Lat 27°02'02", long 81°20'33" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in SE 1/4 SE 1/4 SW 1/4 sec.32, T.39 S., R.30 E., Highlands County, FL, Hydrologic Unit 03090103, on east side of U.S. Highway 27, 200 ft north of Glades-Highlands County line, 2.4 mi southeast of Venus, and 6.7 mi northwest of Palmdale. Owner: U.S. Geological Survey.

All datum elevations and field measurements above NGVD 1929 and NAVD 1988 prior to October 11, 2023 were revised on May 1, 2024 based on more accurate datum elevations.
GROUNDWATER RECORDS
WELL CHARACTERISTICS - Depth 23 ft. Upper casing diameter 6 in; top of first opening 18.8 ft, bottom of last opening 23 ft. Drilled, observation, nonartesian well, gravel-packed screen from 19 to 23 ft.
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 60.13 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929. Measuring point: Top of recorder shelf, 60.26 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929, Oct. 8, 1985 to present. Aug. 10, 1979 to Oct. 4, 1993 measuring point 3.7 ft above land-surface datum. Prior to Aug. 10, 1979 measuring point 3.5 ft above land-surface datum.
