LOCATION - Lat 27°15'40.1", long 82°00'18.8" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in SW 1/4 NW 1/4 sec.15, T.37 S., R.23 E., DeSoto County, FL, Hydrologic Unit 03100101, 0.7 mi south of State Highway 70, and 1.7 mi north of Pine Level.
WELL CHARACTERISTICS - Depth 1,547 ft. Upper casing diameter 8 in; top of first opening undefined, bottom of last opening undefined. Drilled, unused irrigation, artesian well, cased to 340 ft.
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 58 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929. Measuring point: Top of recorder shelter floor, 60 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929, Aug. 7, 1985 to present. Datum of gage is 1.07 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929; 0.02 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988. Land-surface datum is 59.88 ft NGVD 29; 58.83 ft NAVD 88. Water level elevations computed using estimated topographic LSD in order to maintain consistency with historical records. Prior to Oct. 1, 2007, elevation of land surface datum estimated from topographic map.
