LOCATION - Lat 27°17'58.9", long 81°49'28.4" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in NW 1/4 SW 1/4 SW 1/4 sec.33, T.36 S., R.25 E., DeSoto County, FL, Hydrologic Unit 03100101, located 235 feet east of U.S. Highway 17 and 3.8 miles south of Gardner, Fl.
REVISIONS HISTORY - WDR-US-2007: Land-surface datum. The figures of water level as elevation, in feet NGVD, prior to Oct. 1, 1983, are in error. Correct elevations for data published prior to this date may be obtained by using datum corrections of -2.08 ft August 1976 to Sept. 30, 1980, and +1.00 ft Oct. 1, 1980, to Sept. 30, 1983. Revised records are in files of the Geological Survey.
GROUNDWATER RECORDS
WELL CHARACTERISTICS - Depth 15 ft. Upper casing diameter 6 in; top of first opening 10 ft, bottom of last opening 15 ft. Drilled, observation well.
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 75.37 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929. Measuring point: Top of recorder shelter floor, 1.70 ft above land-surface datum, Apr. 1, 1976 to present. Land surface datum is 74.33 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988. Water level elevations computed using NGVD 29 in order to maintain consistency with historical records.
PERIOD OF RECORD - August 1976 to February 1978 (periodic); March 1978 to September 2010 (discontinued).
GAGE - Water-stage recorder--60-minute interval.
COOPERATION - This gage is monitored in cooperation with Southwest Florida Water Management District.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Highest daily maximum water level, 75.11 ft NGVD, June 20, 1982; lowest, 64.32 ft NGVD, June 16, 1999.
