LOCATION - Lat 27°21'00.7", long 82°14'37.4" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in SW 1/4 NE 1/4 sec.18, T.36 S., R.21 E., Manatee County, FL, Hydrologic Unit 03100102, 2.5 mi south of State Highway 70, and 4.0 mi southeast of Verna.
REVISIONS HISTORY - All datum elevations and field measurements above NGVD 1929 and NAVD 1988 prior to April 5, 2022 were revised on June 7, 2022 based on more accurate datum elevations.
GROUNDWATER RECORDS
WELL CHARACTERISTICS - Depth 530 ft. Upper casing diameter 6 in; top of first opening 140 ft, bottom of last opening 530 ft. Drilled, observation, artesian well.
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 68.46 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929 and 67.48 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988. Measuring point: Top of recorder shelter floor, 71.06 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929, Jan. 1, 1978 to present.
PERIOD OF RECORD - March 1978 to current year. Prior to October 1978, published as City of Sarasota Well TH 0-2 near Verna.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder--15-minute interval.
COOPERATION - This gage is monitored in cooperation with the City of Sarasota.
REMARKS - Water level affected by pumping of nearby wells.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Highest water level, 32.13 ft NGVD, Aug. 22, 1982; lowest measured, 15.37 ft below NGVD, May 25, 2000.
