LOCATION - Lat 27°56'26.7", long 82°15'08.8" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in SE 1/4 SW 1/4 SW 1/4 sec.19, T.29 S., R.21 E., Hillsborough County, FL, Hydrologic Unit 03100205, 100 ft east of Valrico Road, 500 ft north of U. S. Highway 60, and 1.5 mi east of Brandon.
REVISIONS HISTORY - The land surface datum and measuring point for period of record are in error. The correct land surface datum is 34.93 ft above NGVD 29. The correct measuring point is 2.49 ft above land surface datum. Correct elevations for all data for period of record may be obtained by using datum correction of -1.47 ft.
GROUNDWATER RECORDS
WELL CHARACTERISTICS - Depth 342 ft. Upper casing diameter 8 in; top of first opening 60 ft, bottom of last opening 342 ft. Drilled, unused irrigation, artesian well.
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 34.93 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929. Measuring point: Top of recorder shelter floor, 2.49 ft above land-surface datum, Aug. 30, 1965 to present.
PERIOD OF RECORD - January 1963 to August 1978 (periodic); September 1978 to September 2011 (discontinued). Records of water levels prior to January 1974 are not published but are available in files of the Geological Survey. The figures of water level as elevation, in feet NGVD 29 for the period of record, are in error. Correct elevations for all data may be obtained by using datum correction of -1.47 ft.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder--60-minute interval.
COOPERATION - This gage is monitored in cooperation with the Southwest Florida Water Management District.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Highest daily maximum water level, 29.42 ft NGVD 29, Sept. 30, 2004; lowest, 10.87 ft NGVD 29, May 19, 1981. Correct extremes may be obtained by using datum correction of -1.47 ft.
