LOCATION - Lat 28°25'32", long 81°07'56" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in SW 1/4 NE 1/4 SE 1/4 sec.05, T.24 S., R.32 E., Orange County, FL, Hydrologic Unit 03080101, in Cocoa well field, on south side of Wewahootee Road, 7.1 mi west of State Highway 15, 10.1 mi south of Bithlo. Owner: U.S. Geological Survey.
GROUNDWATER RECORDS
WELL CHARACTERISTICS - Depth 515 ft. Upper casing diameter 4 in; top of first opening 235 ft, bottom of last opening 515 ft. Drilled, observation, artesian well, cased to 235 ft.
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 62.15 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929. Measuring point: Top of casing, 65.85 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929, Jan. 22, 1965 to present.
PERIOD OF RECORD - January 1965 (annually); January 1966 to March 1967, August 1968 to April 1999 (monthly); May 1999 to May 2007 (quarterly); June 2007 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder and data-collection platform--15-minute interval.
COOPERATION - This gage is monitored in cooperation with the City of Cocoa.
REMARKS - Water level affected by pumping of nearby wells.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Highest water level measured, 40.35 ft above NGVD of 1929, Feb. 8, 1966; lowest measured, 20.66 ft above NGVD of 1929, April 30, 1981.
