LOCATION - Lat 28°32'00.8", long 82°31'58.2" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in SW 1/4 SW 1/4 SW 1/4 sec.29, T.22 S., R.18 E., Hernando County, FL, Hydrologic Unit 03100207, 25 ft north of State Highway 50, and 2.6 mi east of Weeki Wachee.
REVISIONS HISTORY - All datum elevations and field measurements above NGVD 1929 and NAVD 1988 prior to April 28, 2013 were revised on August 8, 2022 based on more accurate datum elevations.
GROUNDWATER RECORDS
WELL CHARACTERISTICS - Depth 259 ft. Upper casing diameter 4 in; top of first opening 176 ft, bottom of last opening 259 ft. Drilled, observation, artesian well.
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 36.24 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929 and 35.40 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988. Measuring point: Top of casing, 38.43 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929, Nov. 4, 1965 to Jul. 2, 2007; Top of shelter floor, 38.43 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929, Jul. 2, 2007 to present.
PERIOD OF RECORD - August 1966 to April 2013 (discontinued). Records of water levels prior to January 1974 are not published but are available in files of the Geological Survey.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder--60-minute interval.
COOPERATION - This gage is monitored in cooperation with the Southwest Florida Water Management District.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Highest daily maximum water level, 23.66 ft NGVD, Aug. 27, 28, 1984; lowest, 10.42 ft NGVD, May 13, 2009.
