LOCATION - Lat 29°28'00", long 90°06'00" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Jefferson Parish, LA, Hydrologic Unit 08090301, located on wooden platform, east of Galliano, LA.
DRAINAGE AREA - Indeterminate; site is located in a coastal bay.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - August 2001 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 4.38ft below NAVD 88, GEOID18; prior to June 16, 2009 datum of gage 4.37ft below NAVD 88.
REMARKS -

Stage affected by wind and tide. Satellite telemetry at station. Data for period Aug. 24, 2001 to Sept. 30, 2001 available at the USGS Louisiana Water Science Center, Baton Rouge.

Extremes to period of record may have been exceeded during periods of missing data due to site destruction by Hurricane Ida, 2021.

REMARKS -

Turbidity data considered poor due to severe biofouling at the site location and extreme wind events causing significant turbulence.

Turbidity data that were previously reported in NTU were updated in October 2019 to reflect proper reporting units of FNU.

Extremes to period of record may have been exceeded during periods of missing data due to site destruction by Hurricane Ida, 2021.
