REVISIONS HISTORY -

In August 2024 it was discovered that this site's elevation value had been incorrectly entered into the legacy NWIS site file. The elevation entered was 4240 feet above NGVD29 (based on a manual interpolation between contour lines on the Hereford, AZ USGS topo quad). Upon review, it is clear that the elevation should have been entered as 4140 feet above NGVD29 (likely, a typographic error in data entry occurred). In the process of correcting this error, published water level elevations for all measurements from 1987-1990 at this site were recomputed and republished (note that no changes were made to the actual measured water level value of depth below land surface). Accuracy of interpolated land surface from this top is +/- 12 feet (based on 25 foot contour interval of the map). The site elevation of 4140 feet above NGVD29 is in effect through 12/31/2023 for the computation of water surface elevation from measurements of depth to water.

On January 1, 2024, the site elevation is updated to 4151.58 feet above NAVD88 (accuracy +/- 0.24 feet) based on a GNSS level 1 survey completed in June 2024.

On August 20, 2025, updates were made to both the measuring point (MP) height above land surface as well as the land surface datum value. The prior MP value of 5.87 feet above land surface was revised to 8.97 feet above land surface. This caused a change to all approved continuous data from beginning of record (1/31/2024) through 10/29/2024 at 09:30 (UTC-07:00). This also caused revisions to approved discrete water level values for the same period. Because of the method used to calculate the original (in error) MP, the land surface elevation was also revised from 4151.58 feet above NAVD88 to 4148.48 feet above NAVD88. This revision caused changes in approved discrete water level measurement elevations (feet above NAVD88 and NGVD29) for the period 1/31/2024 through 10/29/2024.

DATUM - Land-surface datum is 4,151.58 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988. Measuring point: Top of 1.5ö galvanized steel casing, at high side, 1.85 ft above land-surface datum, UNDEFINED BEGIN DATE to Apr. 10, 2024; Top of 1.5ö galvanized steel casing. It was created by adding a pipe extension to the original MP, 4.95 ft above land-surface datum, UNDEFINED BEGIN DATE to Jan. 1, 2024; Top of 1.5ö galvanized steel casing at high side. It was created by adding a pipe extension to MP-1, 5.87 ft above land-surface datum, Apr. 10, 2024 to present.
