LOCATION - Lat 34°12'10", long 90°34'37" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Coahoma County, MS, Hydrologic Unit 08030207, in NE 1/4 NE 1/4 sec.23, T.27 N., R.4 W., Choctaw Meridian at SW corner of Parking lot behind Clarksdale Police station at 121 Sunflower Avenue, Clarksdale, MS.
GROUNDWATER RECORDS
WELL CHARACTERISTICS - Depth 21.5 ft. Upper casing diameter 1.5 in; top of first opening 20.8 ft, bottom of last opening 22 ft. Well was drilled with a 2-inch steel and 1.5 inch PVC upper well casing to a depth at least 21.5 feet below land surface (LSD datum = 153.15). Upper casing diameter is 1.5 inches; top of first opening is 20.8 feet below land surface, bottom of last opening is 22 feet below land surface. MP was extended from 1.35 to 2.15 feet above ground on Aug 06, 2014.
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 153.15 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988. Measuring point: Undefined, 2.15 ft above land-surface datum, Aug. 6, 2014 to present. Measuring point, MP 1, was raised from 1.35 to 2.15 feet above land surface on Aug 06, 2014.

GAGE - A 6 by 3 by 3-foot walk-in fiberglass shelter attached to a wooden walkway is located at the SW corner of the Clarksdale Police station parking lot on the east bank of the Big Sunflower River (07288000). An H 312 submersible pressure transducer connects the gage to the well. A Design Analysis 522 plus DCP is connected to an Handar H 312 submersible pressure transducer, set to a 15-minute scan interval, housed at the Walk-in Gage house shelter. New H 312 transducer installed on July 27, 2016.
COOPERATION - This well is maintained in cooperation with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Vicksburg District (Funding lapsed in March of 2018) as part of the Lower Mississippi River Delta Alluvial GW/SW interaction project.
