LOCATION - Lat 35°10'20", long 79°28'28" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Moore County, NC, Hydrologic Unit 03040203, 0.15 mi west of North Carolina Highway 5 and 0.95 mi southwest of intersection of North Carolina Highway 5 and North Carolina Highway 2.
GROUNDWATER RECORDS
WELL CHARACTERISTICS - Depth 135 ft. Upper casing diameter 8 in; top of first opening 103 ft, bottom of last opening 135 ft.
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 505 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988. Measuring point: Top of well casing, 3.88 ft above land-surface datum, April 15, 2011, to present.
PERIOD OF RECORD - April 2011 to current year.
GAGE - Water-level recorder collecting data at 15-minute intervals. Satellite telemetry at site.
REMARKS - Well is completed in the Black Creek aquifer. Water levels are affected by nearby pumping. Well is part of the Moore County groundwater monitoring network.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Highest water level recorded, 66.33 ft below land-surface datum, July 27-28, 2014; lowest water level recorded, 85.96 ft below land-surface datum, October 5, 2011.
