LOCATION - Lat 35°22'27", long 89°33'02" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Fayette County, TN, Hydrologic Unit 08010209, 80 ft south of State Highway 59, 1.3 mi southeast of U.S. Highway 70, near Braden. Owner: Tennessee Division of Geology and U.S. Geological Survey.
GROUNDWATER RECORDS
WELL CHARACTERISTICS - Depth 370 ft. Upper casing diameter 6 in; top of first opening 345 ft, bottom of last opening 365 ft. Drilled artesian observation well, diameter 6 to 4 in., depth 365 ft, cased to 345 ft, screened 345 to 365 ft.
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 317.2 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929. Measuring point: TOP OF CASING 4.20 ft. ABOVE LAND SURFACE DATUM, 4.2 ft above land-surface datum, Oct. 31, 1949 to present.
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 1949 to current year. Analog record October 1949 to December 1970, periodic tape measurements or monthly maximum-minimum recorder from December 1970 to May 2006, continuous record May 2006 to Oct. 2010. Continuous records discontinued temporarily from March 13 to June 22, 2007 for steel shelter replacement. Discontinued continuous recording on Oct. 05, 2010. Periodic tape-down measurements from Oct. 2010 to March 2016. Continuous recorder March 16, 2016 to current year.
