LOCATION - Lat 36°40'33", long 76°56'26" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Franklin City, VA, Hydrologic Unit 03010202, at P. D. Camp Community College in Franklin. Owner: Virginia Department of Environmental Quality.
GROUNDWATER RECORDS
WELL CHARACTERISTICS - Depth 734 ft. Upper casing diameter 4 in; top of first opening 714 ft, bottom of last opening 734 ft.
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 34 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929. Measuring point: TOP OF CASING, 2.50 ft above land-surface datum, Oct. 31, 2009 to present.
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 2009 to current year.
GAGE - Electronic data logger and pressure transducer, 15-minute record interval.
REMARKS - Well is located in Middle Potomac aquifer of Cretaceous age.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Highest water level recorded, 120.11 ft below land-surface datum, Apr. 25, 2018; lowest recorded, 171.23 ft below land-surface datum, Nov. 9, 2009.
