GROUNDWATER RECORDS
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 1,287.39 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988. Measuring point: unknown, 2.2 ft above land-surface datum, Dec. 31, 1955 to present.
PERIOD OF RECORD - January 5, 1956 to present.
GAGE - Gage from Jan 5, 1956 to Aug 31, 2000 was A-35 strip chart with float and float wheel. From Sept 14, 2000 to June 18, 2007, water level recording device is a DCP with telemetry capability. The water level measuring device was a float and encoder. Float and encoder were replaced with a submersible, vented pressure transducer in metal box on top of casing on June 18, 2007.
COOPERATION - All data furnished by Missouri Department of Natural Resources (MDNR); Record from January 5, 1956 to August 31, 2000 furnished from MDNR. Record from September 14, 2000 to present processed by USGS and MDNR.
REMARKS - Record for period Jan 5, 1956 to July 9, 1982 fair. Record for period July 10, 1982 to Oct 8, 1991 good. Record for period October 9, 1991 to September 30, 2008 rated fair based on 13 water level measurements made during that period. Data from 10/01/2008 to 07/20/2010 has been processed by the USGS and MDNR with limited water level measurements (5 measurements) during the period. This record is considered good and accurate to +/- 0.10 ft based on the water level measurement taken during the site visits to verify the water levels. The record from 07/21/2010 to 10/12/2011 is good based on 4 water level measurements made during the period and is accurate to +/- 0.05 ft. The record from 10/12/2011 to 07/24/2012 is good based on 4 water level measurements made during the period and is accurate to +/- 0.05 ft. The record from 07/25/2012 to 08/13/2013 is good based on 4 water level measurements made during the period and is accurate to +/- 0.05 ft The record from 08/14/2013 to 12/08/2014 is good based on 4 water level measurements made during the period and is accurate to +/- 0.05 ft The record from 12/09/2014 to 04/25/2016 is good based on 4 water level measurements made during the period and is accurate to +/- 0.10 ft. The pressure transducer tends to drift over time which may decrease its accuracy. The record from 04/26/2016 to 10/12/2016 is fair based on 1 water level measurement made during the period and is accurate to +/- 0.25 ft. The pressure transducer tends to drift over time which may decrease its accuracy. The record from 10/13/2016 to 04/11/20176 is good based on 2 water level measurement made during the period and is accurate to +/- 0.10 ft. The record from 04/11/2017 to 10/24/2017 is good based on 1 water level measurement made during the period and is accurate to +/- 0.05 ft. The record from 10/25/2017 to 05/15/2018 is poor based on 1 water level measurement made during the period. The pressure transducer had many problems and many days of record are missing including those leading up to the site visit, although the accuracy appears to be within +/- 0.10 ft. The record from 05/16/2018 to 09/05/2018 is poor based on 2 water level measurement made during the period. The pressure transducer had many problems and many months of record are missing. The record from 09/06/2018 to 01/09/2019 is good based on 1 water level measurement made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.10 ft. The record from 01/10/2019 to 06/24/2019 is good based on 1 water level measurement made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.10 ft. The record from 06/25/2019 to 01/14/2020 is good based on 1 water level measurement made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.10 ft.
