LOCATION - Lat 36°48'14", long 76°44'07" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Isle of Wight County, VA, Hydrologic Unit 02080208, at Windsor Community Center in Windsor. Owner: Virginia Department of Environmental Quality.
GROUNDWATER RECORDS
WELL CHARACTERISTICS - Depth 26 ft. Upper casing diameter 4 in; top of first opening 16 ft, bottom of last opening 26 ft. Drilled observation water well, screened 16 to 26 ft.
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 70 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929. Measuring point: TOP OF SHELF, 1.75 ft above land-surface datum, Oct. 27, 2005 to present.
PERIOD OF RECORD - March 1985 to current year. Unpublished records available prior to October 1985 in files of the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality - Water Division.
GAGE - Electronic data logger and pressure transducer, 15-minute record interval. July 19, 1995 to Oct. 27, 2005, occasional measurement with chalked tape by Virginia Department of Environmental Quality - Water Division personnel. Prior to July 19, 1995, bimonthly measurement with chalked tape.
COOPERATION - Records provided by the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality - Water Division.
REMARKS - Well is located in Columbia aquifer of Quaternary age.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Highest water level recorded, 1.01 ft above land-surface datum, Oct. 29, 2012; lowest recorded, 4.58 ft below land-surface datum, Oct. 17, 23, 2007.
