REVISIONS HISTORY - Revisions: Land-surface datum was updated to 473.73 ft NAVD88 on May 22, 2023, as determined by a GNSS survey by Missouri DNR. Land-surface datum was previously published as 470 ft NAVD88 from topographic map. Discrete water-level measurements prior to May 22, 2023, are referenced to the original datum.

GROUNDWATER RECORDS

DATUM - Land-surface datum is 473.73 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988. Measuring point: unknown, 0.3 ft above land-surface datum, May. 31, 2000 to present.

PERIOD OF RECORD - April 19, 1970 to present.

GAGE - Stevens model A-35 chart recorder installed April 19, 1970. Stevens model 7001 digital recorder installed May 20, 1982. February 8, 2000 to present; DCP with float, encoder, and telemetry capability installed as the water level recording and measuring devices.

COOPERATION - Data furnished by Missouri Department of Natural Resources (MDNR); Record from December 31, 1970 to February 8, 2000 furnished from MDNR.

REMARKS - Furnished record rated fair (December 31, 1970 to February 8, 2000) because no water level measurements are available to verify daily values. This data has been archived by Missouri Department of Natural Resources (MDNR) and is not available for verification. Data from 02/09/2000 to 09/30/2008 has been processed by the USGS with limited field water level measurements (18 measurements) during the period to verify the recorded water levels. This record is considered fair. Data from 10/01/2008 to 01/20/2010 is good based on 7 water level measurements made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.05 ft. Data from 01/21/2010 to 08/19/2010 is good based on 4 water level measurements made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.1 ft. The gage was within +/- 0.05 ft of the water level measurements during this time, but the float on occasion stuck in the well causing data 'jumps' usually less than 0.1 ft. The record from 08/20/2010 to 07/19/2011 is good except for the period 04/21/2011 to 04/24/2011 which is fair based on 6 water level measurements made during the period to verify the recorded data. This record is accurate to +/- 0.05 ft. Because of the large jumps in the hydrograph caused by flooding of the nearby Current River, the record from 04/21/2011 to 04/24/2011 was down graded. Data from 07/20/2011 to 07/25/2012 is good based on 3 water level measurements made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.05 ft. The record from 07/26/2012 to 09/18/2013 is good based on 2 water level measurements made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.05 ft. The record from 09/19/2013 to 12/17/2014 is good based on 3 water level measurements made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.05 ft. The record from 12/18/2014 to 06/08/2016 is good based on 5 water level measurements made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.05 ft. The record from 06/09/2016 to 03/13/2017 is good based on 2 water level measurements made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/-0.05 ft. The record from 03/14/2017 to 05/01/2018 is good based on 2 water level measurements made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/-0.10 ft. The record from 05/02/2018 to 11/06/2018 is good based on 1 water level measurement made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.05 ft. The record from 11/07/2018 to 04/30/2019 is good based on 1 water level measurement made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.05 ft. The record from 05/01/2019 to 12/02/2019 is good based on 1 water level measurement made during the period to verify the recorded data and is accurate to +/- 0.10 ft.
