LOCATION - Lat 36°57'51", long 76°43'35" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Isle of Wight County, VA, Hydrologic Unit 03010202, 50 ft west of State Highway 652, 0.5 mi south of State Highway 682, and 1.8 mi southwest of Magnet. Owner: Virginia Department of Environmental Quality.
GROUNDWATER RECORDS
WELL CHARACTERISTICS - Depth 350 ft. Upper casing diameter 4 in; top of first opening 340 ft, bottom of last opening 350 ft. Drilled observation water well, screened 340 to 350 ft.
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 73 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929. Measuring point: TOP OF SHELF, 1.58 ft above land-surface datum, Oct. 27, 2005 to present.
PERIOD OF RECORD - April 1980 to current year. Unpublished records available prior to October 1985 in files of the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality - Water Division.
GAGE - Electronic data logger and pressure transducer, 15-minute record interval. July 10, 1995 to Oct. 27, 2005, occasional measurement with chalked tape by Virginia Department of Environmental Quality - Water Division personnel. Oct. 7, 1985 to July 10, 1995, bimonthly measurement with chalked tape. Prior to Oct. 7, 1985, monthly measurement with chalked tape.

REMARKS - Well is located in Brightseat-Upper Potomac aquifer of Cretaceous-Paleocene age. Water level affected by regional drawdown.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Highest water level measured, 125.10 ft below land-surface datum, Apr. 24, May 29, 1980; lowest recorded, 159.68 ft below land-surface datum, Sept. 23, 24, 2007.
