REVISIONS HISTORY - Revisions: Groundwater levels above NGVD 1929 and NAVD 1988 from August 7, 2024, at 19:10 UTC to August 21, 2024, at 20:59 UTC were revised on October 29, 2024, because land-surface datum was resurveyed. The previous land-surface datum of 3,840.70 ft above NGVD 1929 was used from October 27, 1997, to June 26, 2024. The current/updated land-surface datum of 3,843.82 ft above NAVD 1988 is applied from June 27, 2024, to the present.
GROUNDWATER RECORDS
WELL CHARACTERISTICS - Depth 133 ft. Upper casing diameter 2 in; top of first opening 88 ft, bottom of last opening 160 ft.
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 3,843.82 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988. Measuring point: Red mark on top of 2-in casing, 1.8 ft above land-surface datum, Oct. 2, 1997 to present. The NAVD of 1988 datum was determined by a level 2 GNSS survey (Reference Frame NAD_83 (2011) (EPOCH:2010.0000), GEOID18) by USGS on June 27, 2024, and tied to RP1, file mark on top of the well casing. Prior to June 27, 2024, the land-surface datum was 3,840.70 ft above NGVD of 1929 as determined via level survey by USGS on October 7, 1997.

REMARKS - Periodic water-level measurements are made throughout the Nevada National Security Site (NNSS) and adjacent areas to aid in characterizing the local and regional groundwater flow systems. The following data have been collected and reviewed according to quality-assurance requirements specific to the NNSS.
